Caleco are an original four piece rock band from Limerick, Ireland. Ever since forming in 2004 under the name "Idle Hands", they have been creating a reputation for themselves as being one of the hardest working bands in the Country, by winning The JD Set twice in a row, in 2005 and 2006. In 2005 they recorded their self titled E.P containing 3 tracks. This was instantly a hit with the Irish Music Scene.
In the summer of 2006 the band began recording their debut album with friend & engineer Owen Lewis, who has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry including Snow Patrol, The Editors, The Blizzards, Flogging Molly and producer Jacknife Lee as well as many more. Under his production, they created an 11-track album and in April 2007 they released the album, entitled "Ready For More" to a sell-out crowd in they're local Limerick. Since its release the album has gone on to sell just over 1000 copies.
The band are now close to the release of their new 6 track EP entitled "What Hasn't Been Said", again engineered by Owen Lewis who is now working in a prestigous studio in Los Angeles, CA. The EP will feature the tracks "All She Wants", "Make You See", "Stay Around", "Celebrate The Silence", "Story Of My Life" and "Just Like You".
