Hitting the ground running in late 2008, Mullingar's pop punk quintet 'Icon On Fire' celebrated their birth with an opening slot to Derry's own post punk outfit Fighting With Wire; and the last 12 months has been a turbelent affair, which saw both the departures of old members and arrivals of new friends.

After spending the end of 2009 locked away in the Barn Studios, in Drumlish, Longford with Michael Cronin of The Aftermath, Icon on Fire have finished mixing and mastering their debut single 'My Name Is Casanova'.

Their debut assault on the airwaves, due for release via downloadmusic.ie and iTunes, on 13th Feb 2010, is a blend of their pop punk sensibilities, mixed with moments of their emo influences worn heavy on their sleeves.
